In 2006, prisoner Richard Lee McNair got himself a job in prison repairing mail bags. He created a “pod” that fit under the mail bags on a pallet and a forklift transported him out of the prison. A police officer ran into him the same day of his escape but didn’t realize he was the escapee and he successfully fled to Canada. – WTF Fun Facts
