There is an orchid (Rhizanthella gardneri) which grows entirely underground which was discovered in Australia in 1928 by a farmer. The discovery generated such excitement that a wax model was made and toured the British Isles. – WTF Fun Facts

WTF Fun Fact – Milk Duds Name

“Milk Duds” were originally intended to be perfectly round, chocolate covered caramel candies. The machines in 1928 couldn’t produce them consistently and the misshaped candies were called “duds,” hence the name. – WTF Fun Facts
